Sotai is a Japanese form of gentle movement therapy rooted in reminding the body of its natural alignment.

Sotai promotes healing in the circulatory, nervous and endocrine system by undoing old holding patterns through muscular reeducation and gentle movement therapy.

It is a set of principles rather than a set of movements. This therapy is rooted in the idea that ‘less is more’ - when there is hardness, it should be softened. When muscles and joints are moved in a comfortable, gentle and relaxed way, the body can remember its natural alignment.
